Based on a true story, Piaf / Dietrich is a musical drama that explores the intimate and entertaining portrait of a fascinating friendship between show business legends, Édith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich, that began under the most unlikely of circumstances and lasted their entire lives. Featuring 20 of their unforgettable hits including La Vie En Rose, Milord, and Where Have All The Flowers Gone, this is an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Production History:
This play was originally written in German and titled Spatz and Engel (The Angel and the Sparrow) and had its world premiere in Vienna in 2013, where it played for six seasons. Subsequently it had productions in Germany, Switzerland and Czechoslovakia. The English-language production of The Angel and the Sparrow was commissioned by and premiered on April 15, 2018 at the Segal Centre for the Performing Arts (Lisa Rubin, Artistic & Executive Director; Jon Rondeau, General Manager). The play was then produced by Mirvish Productions at the CAA Theatre in Toronto. The Angel and the Sparrow is produced by special arrangement with Gallissas Theaterverlag und Mediaagent. It was directed by Gordon Greenberg.
